Behrens is 2002, 2003 and 2004 past president of M.A.R.T. (Meaningful Arrangement of Real Estate Transactions). He has received the "Broker Exchanger of the Year" designated for 1992, 2001 and 2002. He was recipient of the distinguished Exchanger of the Year in 1989.
